Our client is a large IT service provider and is looking for a Mainframe Support Engineer (m/f/d) to support a long-term customer project starting in 2026. The project is located in the automotive industry and deals with a DMS - Dealer Management System. Experience with DMS systems is therefore a mandatory requirement. The essential skills and qualifications for this position include:

Good knowledge of the ITIL framework as well as incident and problem management processes Experience with automation tools to optimize and increase efficiency of support processes Ideally experience from a technology-driven or finance-related work environment Ability to analyze logs, stack traces and system metrics to identify root causes of errors Close collaboration with Development, QA, DevOps and infrastructure teams for holistic problem solving Assisting with deployments, hotfixes and release activities Maintaining and updating support documentation, runbooks and troubleshooting guides Ensuring SLA compliance and timely escalation of critical incidents Participating in an on-call rotation for business critical production systems Strong analytical skills as well as strong communication and problem solving skills
