For a 6-month project (start January) our client is looking for a specialist (m/f/d) to migrate the test management from TestLink to Polarion ALM. The main task is the integration of Polarion into the existing CI/CD pipeline and toolchain to control the Behavior Driven Development (BDD) test automation. What skills are required for this specialist (m/f/d) test automation & tool conversion (polarion / python)?

The essential skills and qualifications for this position include:

Must-have: Must-have: Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of working with Polarion ALM (at least 2-3 years of project experience) Must-have: Excellent programming skills in Python (at least 3 years), ideally in the context of test automation and tool interfaces Must-have: In-depth understanding of test automation concepts and BDD (Behavior Driven Development) Must-have: Experience in connecting test management tools to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines or toolchains. (Jenkins) Must-have: Interfaces: Experience with REST APIs to connect Polarion to the toolchain Must-have: Basic understanding of software and system architectures to optimize the integration of Polarion Nice-to-have: Data exchange formats: Knowledge of XML/JSON for the import/export of test data Scripting/front-end logic: Experience with JavaScript TestLink: Knowledge of the legacy system for easier transition of processes Knowledge of PHP is not required, but an understanding of PHP-based systems can be helpful in understanding TestLink structures Experience in configuring and customizing Polarion (e.g. workflows, fields, reporting)

Additional preferred qualifications may include problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and experience working in collaborative team environments.
